150th Birth Anniversary of Bertram Mackennal
The Mackennal range shows the famous Seahorses stamp design, first issued by the Post Office on 30 June 1913. The design was seen as rather cutting-edge for introducing an image next to the monarchs head. The Mackennal profile also replaced the three-quarter-view head of George, created by court photographers W & D Downey.2013 (September 19 2013)
